Mainstream Radio Remixed – Episode 3: Rihanna

One of the most remixed of the mainstream radio world is the one and only Rihanna. Throughout her visible career, Robyn Rihanna Fenty has generally always featured a danceable layer within her releases, once she got past her debut marketing strategy of a reggae singer due to her heritage. Since her vocals are already partially styled in an electronic music-compatible sense, it makes for a multitude of mixes and variety of sub-genres featured in remixes of her tracks (our choices below range from old school dubstep, hands up and trance feels to progressive masterpieces).

Complete with collaborations with Calvin Harris (“We Found Love”) and David Guetta (“Who’s That Chick” and “Right Now”) in addition to citing influences such as Madonna, Mariah Carey, Destiny’s Child and Bob Marley, it is clear where her soulful and sultry but bright vocal delivery over upbeat and energetic music stems from. However, for me…radio versions just don’t really do it for me. So after delving deeeep and going back in time for you guys, we have come up with these 14 mega remixes for your ears’ pleasure. As always, if we missed your favorite mix or if you have a request for the next artist drop us a comment!

Electronic music junkie since the turn of the millennium (and prior). Yeah, I rocked out to Robin S, Real McCoy & to Tiesto when he was still doing "In Search Of Sunrise". I have a penchant for the melodic side of EDM, so sue me. Reach out and "touch me" @mattedmt
