Sensation, the global dance music event group, just released a video sneak peak for their return to Thailand in 2014. The ID&T event first came to Asia in 2012, visiting Thailand, Taiwan, and South Korea. Since it began in Amsterdam in 2000, Sensation has spread around the world. It grew under the guidance of ID&T (the makers of Tomorrowland), until the prominent event group was mostly bought out by SFX Entertainment earlier this year.
Having acquired most of ID&T, SFX now controls Tomorrowland, Tomorrowworld, QDance, Sensation, Beatport, Life in Color, Disco Productions, and many other entertainment groups. The American company is fast approaching monopoly-esque percentages within the EDM industry, and its return to Asia only serves to accelerate this.
But is this really a bad thing? After all, Sensation is truly a beautifully orchestrated event. In the same way that Tomorrowland has always been one of the cornerstones of EDM Festival Culture, one can only assume that Sensation events will carry the same level of quality. Anyways, check out the video above. Sensation Thialand will without a doubt be a breath-taking event, regardless of the corporation that owns its stock. Be sure to purchase tickets if you plan to be in the area.
