SFX Buying Spree Continues as They Buy A 50% Stake in Rock In Rio


Robert Sillerman and SFX Entertainment’s buying spree is now in full force, this time buying a 50% stake in the company that owns the festival franchise Rock in Rio. With festivals in Lisbon and Madrid as well as Rio, the brand has been traditionally geared towards rock and roll and has featured many big name artists including Bruce Springsteen and Justin Timberlake, and is scheduled for its US debut in 2015. In an interview with Billboard, Sillerman discusses the  deal, its possible shift to electronic music, as well as other aspects of SFX Entertainment, including its recent run of acquisitions.
