Taking Back Sundays: Episode 4 – Tiesto

Alright, alright. This is the week to give into one of the blatantly obvious choices as subject matter for Taking Back Sundays, none other than the electronic music mainstay and pioneer: Tiesto. As we have already previously went in depth into Tijs Michiel Verwest‘s history, evolution and chronology via our Hall Of Fame article, I am going to skip all of the usual background pleasantries and commentaries on any future musical avenues Tiesto may (or may not) have planned. Instead, let’s immediately fire up ┬áthe time machine, as this one is going to be a deep trip. I welcome you to:
Tiesto’s Trail To Timelessness:

Disclaimer: (Pre 2013 & exclusion of remixes and all tracks already specifically mentioned in HOF article…aka Adagio *inb4trolling*)

Tiesto – “Chasing Summers” (2012)

Allure feat. JES – Show Me The Way (2011)

Tiesto & Kaskade feat. Haley – “Only You (2010)

Tiesto & Sneaky Sound System – “I Will be Here” (2009)

Tiesto feat. BT – “Break My Fall” (2007)

Tiesto feat. Kirsty Hawkshaw – “Just Be” (2004)

Tiesto – “Traffic” (2003)

Tiesto feat. Nicola Hitchcock – “In My Memory” (2002)

Tiesto – “Flight 643” (2001)

DJ Tiesto & Armin van Buuren pres. Alibi – “Eternity” (2000)

DJ Tiesto & Ferry Corsten pres. Gouryella – “Gouryella” (1998)

Ayyyee that rave in the woods during the “Alibi” video would have been so phenomenally epic…and that last video tho. Oh, 1998

Until next time!

Electronic music junkie since the turn of the millennium (and prior). Yeah, I rocked out to Robin S, Real McCoy & to Tiesto when he was still doing "In Search Of Sunrise". I have a penchant for the melodic side of EDM, so sue me. Reach out and "touch me" @mattedmt
