At this point, Disclosure fans have heard every possible style of remix for every possible track off their acclaimed album Settle. You can’t enter a club these days without hearing some sort of rendition of the UK duo’s songs being blasted from the system – they’re absolutely ubiquitous. But not to worry, this new remix from Eats Everything borrows sounds from the brothers, but stands out on its own as a dance floor game-changer.
The British producer/DJ keeps things fresh by taking the updated version of “F For You” featuring the vocals of Mary J. Blige, and spreading it out over a bass-heavy, techy groove. MJB’s unmistakable voice shines through, but the Disclosure original is masked by Eats’ club-ready beats (in a good way). After playing a couple of gigs together in London, it was only natural that these nightlife staples collaborated together. The Disclosure boys recently rocked Shoreditch’s XOYO, where Eats (aka Daniel Pearce) has been bringing back the DJ residency this season, and Daniel made a guest appearance at the duo’s Ally Pally performance last weekend. Both of these artists embody the energy of UK house music now, and this remix shows why. Keep a lookout for more tour/club dates for these guys, and get movin’!
