Martin Garrix’s “Animals” Goes Platinum, Hits 1.5 Million Global Sales

Martin Garrix is a muthaf&$%in ANIMAL with all of his recent successes and hallmarks, especially during the past couple of weeks. Not only did Garrix take home three awards from the IDMA’s during Winter Music Conference in Miami, he is also the youngest to have ever performed on the main stage at Ultra Music Festival. From those achievements and mass circulation at music festivals the past year, the impact of his breakthrough hit “Animals” is clearly evident. So, it comes as no surprise that the single has reached Platinum status according to the RIAA hitting over 1 million digital sales and 1.5 million global sales. Just like any popular single, it gets overplayed and falls heavy on the ears each time. However, its overuse does not negate the talent of the 17 year old to produce music with a deeply broad reach. So, congrats Martin on this recent cornerstone! Check out his Ultra 2014 set below.
