Steve Aoki‘s record label, Dim Mak, is known for uncovering some awesome up-and-coming talent. From boundary shattering duo Botnek, to the duel threat producer Henry Steinway (Clockwork/RL Grime), you can always expect to find crowd pleasing tunes under the LA based label. ‘Vagabond’ from Shaun Frank and Vanrip is another perfect example. These Toronto-based producers have teamed up for a dynamic single that can pull you in instantly with its atypical set up. The short preview gives us a taste of a midsection that fosters musicality and mystical melodies, accompanied by semi-tribal like drum kicks. The build then becomes a fusion of fortified sound that leads into an electro drop, which utilizes Caribbean rhythmic components. The release date for ‘Vagabond’ is set for August 5th on iTunes and Beatport. Hopefully we’ll be hearing more top quality tracks from these two talented acts in the near future!
