With exactly a week before Tony, Paavo, and Jono –Above & Beyond, duh- take over Madison Square Garden for ABGT100, it’s fair to say the majority of dance music world is holding its breath in anticipation for the annual celebration of one of its most beloved acts. And why wouldn’t they, as the annual live ABGT celebrations bring with them a score of new music and news from not only Above & Beyond, but also the entire Anjuna family of artists. With that in mind, we’re probably getting a little too excited for the trio’s latest tweet. Stating that their fans in L.A and London could expect good news at ABGT100, Above & Beyond has us literally dying of curiosity. Right off the bat, we can probably eliminate a few things.
First, it’s not more acoustic shows. The only set of acoustic shows the group has done were in London and L.A. If they were to pick up that project again, it would undoubtedly be in a new set of cities. And it’s obviously not more details on the forthcoming album, as that clearly wouldn’t be geo-targeted to specific locations. And that leaves us with simply another show. However, due to the Twitter callout, there could be some sort of unknown twist in play here. The only thing of note is that neither Los Angeles or London has seen a whole lot of Above & Beyond in the past year, so, at the very least, y’all are gettin some Group Therapy, in some form or other. Either way, either tune in or attend ABGT100, or miss out on one of the standout events of the year in the dance music community.
Good news for our London and L.A. fans soon 🙂 more at #ABGT100
