Porter Robinson Cancels European Worlds Tour Dates Due To Venue Size
Tristan Chang
To the dismay of many European fans, early this morning Porter Robinson announced the cancellation of several upcoming live shows in Germany, France, and Finland. Porter states that after touring North America, it became apparent to him that a large venue was crucial in order to communicate the entire Worlds experience effectively. The smaller venues slated for the Germany, France, and Finland shows were deemed to be too small, and it was too late to switch venues. In his apology, Porter went at lengths to explain that he places more value in the quality of the performance, than monetary yield, and when it came down to it he would not be proud of settling for a lackluster performance in a smaller venue. Attempting to offer solace to fans, Porter promised to make future festival appearances in the affected areas when he gets the chance to return to said cities, but until then, fans will just have to wait it out.
