In March 2013, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello, as Swedish House Mafia, were the hottest item on the Ultra Music Festival lineup. With Ultra being two weekends at the time, the Swedes had the opportunity to close on Friday of Weekend 1 as well as the entire festival on Sunday of Weekend 2. After that festival closing set, Swedish House Mafia was no more.
At 2014’s installment, the only mafia member to return to the scene of the breakup was Size Records maestro, Steve Angello. For the 2015 edition, not only will all 3 Swedes be in attendance, but Axwell ^ Ingrosso will have the honor of headlining Saturday night. The two legendary producers have already graced fans with the singles ‘We Come, We Rave, We Love‘, ‘Can’t Hold Us Down‘, and ‘Something New‘ and with a debut album on the way, this performance will surely add to the anticipation. At this point, no other closing acts have been officially announced for Miami’s edition of Ultra Music Festival, but the excitement is already building for the return of some of dance music’s most famous Swedes.
