Lane 8 & Odesza Are a Match Made in Heaven

Since 2012, Odesza & Lane 8 have risen through the ranks of the ever-crowded electronic music scene. With originals and remixes a like, each artist have separated themselves from their respective genre to amass generous followings. An unlikely pairing has taken place, however not un-welcomed. A Lane 8 remix of Odesza’s “Bloom” has surfaced in Lane 8’s Winter 2014 Mixtape, Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 113 radio show and Odesza’s NO.SLEEP Mix 08, which instead of being a bootleg, is being released on Anjunadeep on February 9th.

Kicking up the bpm a notch and adding a DJ friendly intro, the dance ability factor has risen 10 fold. Using stems from the original, Lane 8 has meshed together the perfect combination of uplifting and hefty tones; graciously inserting the groove driven bassline into key segments, in turn, creating the spaced needed to portray such a powerful track in a completely different way. Gently easing the listener into a powerful breakdown, Lane 8 finishes strong across the finish line with an array of soothing minimal layers. While continuing to solidify himself as a jack-of-all-trades producer, himself, along with 16 Bit Lolitas and Grum are slated to provide support for Above & Beyond’s We Are All We Need North American tour.
