Karma Fields – Build The Cities (feat. Kerli)
That subtle and manipulative melody stringing tension throughout the song, the crisp groove of a reprieve in the middle of the track, and the exhilarating drum and bass-inspired drops – I must say “Build The Cities” is the sound of intricacy and and suspense that I’d want backdropping my autobiographical film as a clandestine hacker, if I was one of course. Teased in Monstercat’s weekly Twitch podcast, Karma Fields is finally debuted as the label’s newest artist with his dynamic, almost molecular-sounding track. The various lines of the song drive the energy like adrenaline slowly inflating the little capillaries in your blood stream, with Kerli’s entrancing vocals tying all the different themes of the song together into a odd whole – sort of like organized chaos? Regardless, my meager attempt to form words around Karma Field’s new track is an obvious wreckage of random thoughts, but as I said simply from the start it’s the soundtrack to some badass hacker scene on a mission to save (or destroy) the world.
