Aero Chord – Saiko
No stranger to creating incredibly detailed trap music, Aero Chord has become known for his engaging beat-driven style. 2015 is set to be Aero Chord‘s best year as he releases track after track in short periods of time on his personal SoundCloud page, and the well-known Monstercat label with his high powered remixes of Jack Ü, and the more recent Bro Safari. He has recently been experimenting with the more traditional 128 bpm house range and this brand new original is a great way to show off his production capabilities and versatility.
Starting the madness with a time stretched sample leading to a steady beat while an underlying ominous arp sequence progresses, a Knife Party-esque vocal chop then lingers in the background rising in pitch edging to the ‘Saiko’ breakdown. If you’ve heard artists use computer generated vocals like Knife Party and Cedric Gervais, then you know the tracks can get creepy really fast with the right wording. The voice Aero Chord uses accomplishes this tone quite quickly with the two phrases “I love you,” and “I hate you,” directly after initiating the breakdown. Finally muttering the phrase “Kill you,” leading to the heavy bassline, the track takes on a menacing tone with a grinding bass sound. The track is available now on iTunes.
