Using only drums, keys, a turntable, and live sampling, Toronto band Keys N Krates has made an impressive dent in the electronic dance music industry so far. Their live sets paired with simple yet powerful sounds have propelled the trio to new heights, landing them spots at notable music festivals like TomorrowWorld, Ultra Music Festival and Coachella.
Recently, the boys from up north partnered up with talented 3D projection artist Dead Skull to bring to life their song ‘Hypnotik‘, off their latest Every Night EP. Set inside a pyramid, we are taken along a journey from chamber to chamber accompanied with detailed hieroglyphics, waiting at moment’s notice for a trap-dancing mummy to spring into center screen. As the title of the song suggests, the video stirs hypnotic and mesmerizing sensations, fittingly portraying Keys N Krates’ three instruments – the drums, keyboard and turntable – as holy treasures.
