This demo version of ‘The Days’ with Flowers on vocals makes sense because Flowers is actually one of four co-writers of the song along with Tim Bergling (Avicii), Salem Al Fakir and Vincent Pontare. However, it is odd that Avicii just decided to play it out now. Perhaps Flowers and Bergling wanted to experiment with several vocal takes including this one and the final version by Williams. Another possibility is that Flowers sang this demo to give Williams an example of how the song was written to sound. Regardless of the reason for it’s existence, this demo is not much different from what was eventually released with Williams on the mic, but Flowers’ distinct voice can easily be identified.
