Was it not too long ago that some writers declared that trance is dead? Others thought that Insomniac was taking a big risk by throwing an all-trance festival in the US, but it appears Pasquale Rotella will have the last laugh. Insomniac’s debut edition of Dreamstate has sold out in its first day of sales. The festival began introducing its lineup a few weeks ago to the delight of trance purists and newcomers alike, featuring names like Paul Van Dyk, Orjan Nilsen, Aly & Fila, Rank1, and Jordan Suckley.
While clearly Dreamstate is not a festival on the scale of Ultra or EDC, a sell out in one day is a huge accomplishment. The most recent example of that would have to be Tomorrowland Brazil, which is a much bigger event anchored by the behemoth branding of Tomorrowland.
This a great sign for the trance community and hopefully other festival promoters will take notice. What might be an even better sign? Dreamstate’s promise to those who missed out on tickets that “additional Dreamstate plans are already in the works”. Check out all the details here.
#TranceFamily, THANK YOU for your enthusiasm! Tickets to #Dreamstate are now SOLD OUT! If you didn’t get a ticket,…
