As if dance music hasn’t had enough trouble with it’s musical cousins from rock-n-roll with Noel Gallagher, Paul McCartney has added fuel to the flame. The 73-year old guitarist, vocalist, knight, and all around legend performed at Chicago’s Lollapalooza last night (Sat. August 1) and suffered an unexpected and unfortunate case of sound-bleeding from Kaskade’s performance. Sir McCartney went on to say:
“I planned this. It’s like a mash-up between me and whatever shit they’re playing over there!”
In all seriousness, though Paul took things really well and his response to the situation was pretty lighthearted and a jest at most. It’s especially funny since Kaskade claimed “[his] numbers will rival Paul McCartney and The Weeknd.” With festivals like Lollapalooza bringing in acts from all ends of the music, it’s good to see everyone getting along and taking innocent jabs with these sort of incidents.
