Well that’s certainly a scary title isn’t it? How can Armin van Buuren, one of the most beloved music producers in dance music, be named as the world’s most dangerous. Well, it actually has to do with what celebrity web searches are most likely to lead to malware websites. Intel Security compiles an annual list of which celebrity name searches are most likely to lead to dangerous websites, and Armin van Buuren came out on top, besting country singer Luke Bryan.
Armin’s threat percentage is 17.92%, taking the top spot from last year’s “winner” Jimmy Kimmel. Armin is also the only DJ/producer in the top 10 list, in company with Britney Spears, Usher, Katy Perry, and Betty White. Quite a strange grouping of celebrities, but it goes to show how deep Armin van Buuren has embedded himself in popular culture.
