“In the criminal Justice System, sexually-based offenses are considered especially heinous…dun dun”.
Good for you, Alison Wonderland, way to tell ‘em. Olivia Benson would be oh so proud of you for standing-up against rape culture. If you’re not so much of a Law & Order: SVU life-long marathoner such as myself, all you need to know is Detective OB is a force to be reckoned with, who has zero-tolerance for any type of bulls**t concerning sexual harassment, assault, or misconduct against women. Seems as if Alex Scholler, aka Alison Wonderland, just might be a women’s advocate herself.
The Sydney-based DJ and producer was repulsed by comments left on her Instagram photo from “fans” implying they’d perform such vulgar acts given the chance. Alison took a stand, making it loud and clear – joke or not, there is absolutely no humor in talk of “rape” and “roofie’ing”. None. Period.
“I hope anyone who has ever felt threatened by comments like these know that it’s totally acceptable to stand up for yourself and take it seriously”
Damn right it is, girl- PREACH. Hopefully, Alison’s call-out on these crude commenters shed some light on the severity of the common issue, and encourages others faced with similar situations to do the same. For the creeps who find this type of thing NBD, please steer clear from the shows, concerts, and festivals etc. we true fans attend…for we like to party with a peace of mind, safe from potential roofie-slippers. Thanks in advance.
