At least fourteen of the festivals are EDM-only, or have a major EDM presence on the lineup. Some festivals are not a surprise, with Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival and Governor’s Ball making the list. Promotions Now describes in their post accompanying the map that some festivals had lower attendance ratings, but still made the list because it was more “buzzed about”. One example of this is Louisiana’s Voodoo Festival, who Promotions Now claims has nearly five times less guests than the New Orleans Jazz Fest. Despite the drastic shift in attendance numbers, Voodoo still made the map because more people know about and talk about the festival.
