As you all know by now, arguably the worst terrorist attacks in recent memory took place in Paris last night. There were multiple locations and it has now been confirmed that at least 129 people are dead, with another 352 injured and 99 in critical condition. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks, saying, “This attack is the first of the storm and a warning to those who wish to learn.” France’s president, Francois Hollande, responded by stating that this was, “an act of war … prepared and planned from the outside, with accomplices inside,” and that the country’s response will be, “merciless against the terrorists.”

Social media has been flooded with messages to the people of France, with many DJs offering their support. That being said, some of the messages are a little more meaningful due to the fact that the dance music community features numerous artists that call France, and even Paris, home. Check out responses from DJ Snake, Tchami, Madeon and more below. Some other notable French electronic acts that have not shared their thoughts are David Guetta, Daft Punk, Justice. It’s been reported that Gesaffelstein addressed the tragedy during last night’s show in San Francisco.

It’s also worth mentioning that there were some notable dance shows taking place in Paris last night as well as over the course of the weekend. Carl Craig was supposed to hold a Detroit showcase last night, but it was cancelled as a result of the attacks.

Tonight’s Bondax, Bodhi and Karma Kid show was also cancelled. For a full list, head over here.
