Bassnectar and the Chocolate Factory…has a ring to it.  Bassnectar.net shared some exciting news with fans yesterday. The initial post was deleted within seconds, leading people to people believe it was a secret that had been accidentally leaked; however the surprise is now public and official on the Bassnectar website. First half of the news, one of the world’s most renowned DJs has gone somewhere where no other DJ has gone before…Bassnectar has officially branded his own chocolate, which has been made available for purchase via his website store (only). This isn’t just some cheap, overly processed bar you can find at your nearest grocery store. The Bassnectar logo imprinted bar is made strictly with nothing but the most magical, organic, Ecuadorian cacao and cane sugar known to man.

As delicious and unique as the bar sounds, its ingredients are obviously not the reason it is the most sought after candy bar on the market. Take a guess as to what five of these candy bars hold inside. The ultimate childhood fantasy has become reality- 5 Golden Tickets. Fans all over the world will be trying their luck by purchasing a bar. Yes, a bar. According to the Golden Ticket small print, there is a maximum of one bar per purchase, but that minor detail I’m sure won’t stop Veruca Salt-like ticket-seekers from accumulating the stash they want. Most important question, what does the ticket symbolize? One Golden Ticket is worth 2 free admission VIP passes to Bassnectar’s very own festival next year, Bass Center 2016. Knowing Bassnectar, and the one-of-a-kind eccentricity he brings to his shows, I’d say this festival will be equally as enchanting as the famous factory tour.

Update– No surprise here, the “first offering” of Bassnectar Chocolate Bars, available as a limited edition run, are officially sold out. It hasn’t been determined whether or not all 5 tickets were in the first batch of bars, so keep checking back for your chance to score a ticket!
