Confessions – Today

In an ode to the 1993 Smashing Pumpkins release, Confessions’ version of ‘Today’ kicks off with the familiar lyrics of the original, while pleasant melodies and defined bass kicks are slowly added underneath. The production of the tune is masterfully executed, and the inspiration taken from the original can be felt throughout. It seems safe to assume that Confessions has been around the block once or twice as an artist; you don’t often see an unknown kickstart their career this aggressively with the remake of a rock classic, but that is exactly what Confessions has done with ‘Today.’ For now, all we know is that ‘Today’ is the new track by an unknown artist called Confessions, but down the road we would not be surprised if Confessions turns out to be the side project of an already established artist. Until that is revealed, we cannot wait to hear more from this exciting artist!
