Techno Marching Band Cover’s ÂME’s “REJ” To Perfection

Over the last five years, there have been some stellar transcriptions of dance music for orchestras and acoustic sessions. Basement Jaxx, Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond and Pete Tong are just a sample of artists that have held such events; with the responses being an overwhelming yes to the quality of such material.

With the proof that house and techno continue to reach to the darkest depths of the underground as well as poking their head up into the mainstream world, the marching band MEUTE from Germany, who just so happens to specialize in techno music remakes, has transformed the classic track “REJ”, originally performed by the Berlin production duo ÂME, into a street version worthy of recognition.

And yes, they dress up in the usualy marching band gear. Check out the video below and note the reactions from the faces in the crowd. One of the coolest pieces of art you will see this year.
