deadmau5 has been killing the SoundCloud game as of late. On Valentine’s Day, he caught fans off guard by treating them with two new hip-hop interpretations titled “the carp is mine“ and “fuck you too”. Instead of tuning into the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, Joel spent his night uploading two more tracks under his ‘fuckmylife’ account. This time, the mau5 stepped away from hip-hop and returned to his more traditional sound for “saved” and “gg”.
We hate to jump to conclusions, but every time we see a longer deadmau5 track, we can’t help but think of classics like “Faxing Berlin”, “Aural Psynapse” and of course, “Strobe”. While these two new jams may not be as legendary as the previously mentioned tracks, it is fair to compare them due to their similar structures. “saved” and “gg” are two beautiful minimal progressive tracks and we hope they find a spot on deadmau5′ forthcoming album. We’re definitely loving this new studio.
