Paradise Lost Cancelled Due To “Unforeseen Circumstances”

It appears as though Jamaica will be waiting in anticipation a little longer for an electronic dance music expansion to hit the islands. A few short months after Paradise Lost was announced – featuring Bassnectar and Tiesto as headliners for the three day event – unforeseen circumstances have forced the Caribbean festival to postpone the event until further notice.

In a Facebook post on the event’s wall last night, festival promoters announced in a brief statement that “circumstances out of their control” have forced them to cancel this year’s event, tentatively rescheduling it for March of 2017. While details are fairly scarce at this point in time, it’s safe to say that those who’ve already scheduled flights and purchased tickets will be looking for more information as to why the event fell through on such short notice.

It’s always disappointing when festivals are cancelled – especially a few weeks before the event is scheduled to take place. Particularly when the amount of planning and expenses invested by both promoters and attendees ultimately falls by the wayside. No matter how much is refunded, it never truly replaces the excitement of knowing you’ll be seeing your favorite artist in the warm, tropical sun in a few short weeks. Let’s hope this isn’t the start of a string of cancellations like we saw last year at some of the world’s biggest electronic music festivals.

Due to circumstances out of our control, we regret that Paradise Lost 2016 will be postponed to March 2017. Please visit…
