Last year, Toronto’s Veld Music Festival fell victim to extreme weather conditions that caused multiple cancellations. This year, Canada’s largest electronic music festival looks to rebound from last year by bringing in a lineup of familiar headliners, including a few who were slated to play last year, but were unable due to the inclement weather.

Beginning with the veterans, it would not be Veld without its hometown owner deadmau5. His headline performance at the 2016 festival will mark three out of the four total Veld’s for the mau5, only missing 2014. In addition to deadmau5, Steve Aoki will also be playing Veld for his third time out of four. As for the rest of the headliners, Martin Garrix returns to Downsview Park after a massive 2014 performance, Kygo will grace the stage at Downsview for the first time, and Flume and rapper Travis Scott will bring some flare to the Bacardi Tent that A$AP Rocky headlined last year. Of course, we can’t forget our final two duo headliners The Chainsmokers and local boys DVBBS. As last year’s attendees know, The Chainsmokers had their set on day one cut 15 minutes short, and DVBBS’ day two set was wiped out entirely. Both duos will have their chance to give the Veld crowd what they missed out on a year ago. Veld consistently recruits a massive lineup year in and year out, and its fifth year in 2016 looks like it will be no different. Stay tuned for further lineup announcements in the coming weeks, and click here for presale tickets!
