Happy April 21st everybody! Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that yesterday was the annual celebration of marijuana, 4/20. Whether you chose to partake or not, we hope you enjoyed your day. Now, back to the music. One of dance music’s most notorious pot smokers, saxophone extraordinaire Grant Kwiecinski, better known as Griz
, prepared a special treat for his fans to enjoy on the day of all things weed. Donned in his signature All Good Records cap, Griz delivered a 20-minute live set from the inside of a marijuana grow house.
While he did not bring out the saxophone for this set, he dug into some awesome futuristic, funky sounds that were absolutely perfect for yesterday’s festivities—tunes that you wouldn’t normally hear in one of his festival sets. Just because 4/20 was yesterday does not mean you can’t enjoy this mix again today, tomorrow, or for the next couple of weeks. The groove is real throughout the quick 20-minutes, so sit back, relax, and enjoy this future funkified mix from Griz.
