The music world is in mourning today, as legendary recording artist Prince has been found dead in his home recording studio Paisley Park. Authorities were called to the property early this morning and the news has since been confirmed by his publicist. He had apparently been suffering from flu-like symptoms for several weeks.
In a career that spanned over three decades, Prince managed to become one of the most influential figures in American popular culture. He has sold over 100 million records worldwide and is one of the few musicians to win a Grammy, Golden Globe and Academy Award. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends.
