2016 has already been a landmark year for the 24-year-old Kygo
. The Norwegian DJ/producer largely responsible for the tropical house explosion has had an incredibly fast rise to success in just a few short years. Since breaking out in a big way in 2013 with a slew of remixes, Kygo has gone from an up and comer to verifiable superstar. In the last 5 months alone, Kygo performed at the Nobel Peace Prize concert, graced the cover of Billboard Magazine, and dropped his debut album, Cloud Nine
, last week. Dropping late last year, “Stay
” was first unveiled as an acoustic cover. Kygo hadn’t performed the full studio version in the United States until this week when Good Morning America
featured the wunderkind on the popular talk show. Kygo was joined by vocalist Maty Noyes
for the track’s US television debut and was also accompanied by his usual impressive production and signature DJ booth. Check out the full performance for yourself below.
