McDonald’s Embraces EDM with New Marketing

You know something is a global phenomenon if McDonald‘s is latching on to it. In a recent marketing campaign the franchise introduced the McTrax Placemat in locations throughout The Netherlands. The devices use 26 touchpoints for audio looping, synths, and voice recordings. Your smartphone acts as the speaker and screen for the device. Don’t expect to see this anytime soon outside of the DJ-centric Netherlands, but it’s a cool idea nonetheless. Check out the video above to see how it all works.
