Because Las Vegas doesn’t already have enough extravagance, one of its most well-known resorts, The Wynn Las Vegas, has decided to bring water to the desert in the form of a lake resort.

Steve Wynn is dedicating an astounding $1.6 billion to the project that will replace the current golf course by the Wynn. The resort, which will be named Paradise Park, will feature a boardwalk, sandy beaches, 1,000 rooms, a new nightclub, and firework displays. The nightclub, yet another to add to the list of mega venues on The Strip, is due to bring in a number of heavy-hitters we can expect to see killer performances from in the future.

We have a chance to reinvent Las Vegas and make the whole venue an entertainment attraction … an idyllic beach paradise surrounded by white sand beaches,” Wynn told investors. “People come to Las Vegas from all over the world to live large and have a good time and we can dish up an irresistible entertainment attraction.”
