After the police raids in Ibiza earlier this year it looks like it has continued with two raids this morning at 6:30am and 8am on the clubs Ushuaia and Pacha. As these raids went on over the summer, it was easy to assume those establishments were sketchy but the top dogs were above such occurrences. Now we see that even the crown jewels of Ibiza are caught up in this firestorm.
It is all a part of what they are calling Operation Chopin, an investigation by the Ibiza Tax Agency that has probed 87 venues so far. This is following raids earlier this year on places like Space, Privilege and also Amnesia where 2 million Euros in cash was seized. They are also targeting boat parties on the island as the amount of police has increased. Pacha was also put up for sale earlier this week, so the recent police investigations could possibly scare away investors.
