Last weekend, Dirtybird Records held one of its Dirtytbird Quarterly events in San Francisco, as it usually does four times a year. Everything was routine and everyone was having fun until around midnight, when a thief appeared.
Label Co-founder Justin Martin was just getting ready to start playing music when someone from the crowd grabbed his USB drive right out of the CDJ deck and took off. After Dirtybird fans banded together on social media, he received the drive back. He says the thief mailed it back to his booking agency’s office in SF. We’re glad that Justin got his property back and hope nothing like this happens again. Watch a video of the incident below.
