SF-based producer Slaptop has had a busy month. He released his debut album, With You, earlier in March and today he has dropped an official, commissioned remix of South African house/jazz duo, Goldfish’s single, ‘Deep of the Night’. Slaptop’s remix is much more club-centric, focusing more on tech-house rhythms than Goldfish’s original tune.
This past weekend, Slaptop provided the opening sets at GoldFest, a 2-night residency at the Mezzanine in San Francisco, headlined by none other than Goldfish. This was the second consecutive year Goldfish hosted GoldFest at the Mezzanine. Let’s hope they bring their infamous live instrumental sets to more cities in the coming year, as it’s certainly a can’t-miss experience.
