It’s no secret Zedd is one of the most transparent and scrutinized faces in the EDM community. His collaborations with multiple pop artists, M&M‘s endorsements, and his catchy radio-friendly tunes have made him one of EDM’s easiest targets of being branded a “sell out”.
Despite the negative criticism, Zedd is one of the biggest names in the game. His ability to saturate the mainstream radio waves with his catchy pop-infused hits has made him a household name and a Grammy award winner.
That being said, it should come as no surprise that his next track is going to be even catchier than his last. He recently told Zane Lowe on Beats 1, “you’re going to hate it after a while because it’s so catchy.” I don’t doubt that for a second. The new track is set to feature One Directioner Liam Payne and Zedd has described it as “Drake-ish”. Just by looking at Zedd’s track record of chart-topping hits, this new song is sure to catapult Liam’s solo career.
So far no word yet on the title of the song or an official release date, but you can check out the interview below.
