The long anticipated EP from KSHMR has arrived! Eager fans have waited and speculated for months on when KSHMR would release his EP. Materia, released on his own label Dharma Worldwide, has arrived, and fans can now listen to the four track EP. Fans can listen to the EP on Spotify starting Friday, August 4, 2017.
The EP takes listeners on a trip that seems to go through time in India. Released earlier this summer, the first track, Festival of Lights, features Maurice West. The track takes you on a trip like Aladdin meeting Princess Jasmine at the Taj Mahal. The Second track, Kolkata, features JDG and Mariana Bo. It takes listeners in on the party that has just started, influenced by the Indian flutes that can be heard in the streets of India, banging drums and bass lines that makes you feel like you should be jumping up and down, ultimately leading to strings that is only fit for the court of royalty.
The third track needs no introduction, except for the animal it represents, The Serpent featuring Snails. The Serpent, slithers in with a piano riff and explodes with high excitement announcing the arrival. The Serpent builds up and at the end drops into dub like bass that sounds like an animal going through metamorphosis.
Lastly, Divination featuring No Mondays, starts out with what can only to be described as sounds fit for a yoga session. Leading with electric piano riffs that picks up speed that leads to an epic bass line. Building up the bassline with some vocals that could be Hindi, leads listeners to an exciting guitar-piano riff, and ultimately brings you to the end of this amazing journey.
