Following the recent hurricanes Irma and Maria that left Puerto Rico in desolation, Pretty Lights announces the cancellation of his Island of Light tour. The event was scheduled to take place December 7 through December 10, 2017. Pretty Lights, also known as Derek Vincent Smith, has always taken his fans into consideration and has shifted the focus of this festival to helping those affected by the hurricanes.
The festival may return in 2018, and would offer a loyalty ticket discount for those who originally purchased tickets, but no confirmation of the events’ revival has been confirmed yet.
An announcement was released onto the Island of Light Facebook page, asking patrons to donate portions of their refunded tickets to aid hurricane victims in Puerto Rico. Check out the official statement below. If you would like to help donate to those victims, you can do so here.
