Yesterday we brought you the hair-rising video clip of Pyrotechnics gone wrong during Transmission Festival in Prague. The news quickly spread so that now Transmission Festival has issued a statement surrounding the events.
According to Transmission the pyro subcontractors Pyroworks and Flash Barrandov Special Effects substituted “red coments with tail[s]” for what were supposed to be “red ultra fast comets”. Essentially, the plan was for super fast shots over the crowd that never hit the crowd. Obviously the substituted product was problematic. In the wake of this incident Transmission has decided to stop any future pyro over the heads of the audience going forward. It’s a shame, but indoor shows introduce too many risks in those situations. The full statement can be found below.
