Spencer Brown has officially arrived. For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of listening to this rising star’s music, his production skill is a cut above everyone else. The 23 year old has been a mainstay on Anjunabeats for two years now, with many more years to come. EPs like ‘Embarcadero’, ‘Downpour’, and ‘Vernal’ all exceeded expectations, impressing everyone who gave them a listen. Now Spencer Brown’s true colors will be on full display.
Today, Spencer Brown announced the release date for his first studio album, Illusion of Perfection. On May 11th, the album sees its release on Anjunabeats, officially making Spencer an album creator.Save that date folks. For a dude that just stepped on the scene a couple years ago, this is truly impressive.
The album will consist of 12 tracks, all blended together for “a seamless flow”. If you listened to Gabriel & Dresden’s latest album, you’ll understand how well blended tracks work together. Spencer will also release three EPs following the album, consisting of full versions of the album tracks. This dude doesn’t stop making music.
If the album announcement wasn’t big enough, Spencer Brown also announced a massive 29-stop tour. The tour will take him to cities around the United States and even a couple stops in the UK. The tour will start at Soundcheck in D.C on May 4th and end on September 2nd at Electric Zoo. Spencer will also be doing select open-to-close and extended sets throughout the tour.
Ticket details for the tour and album will be released today, so stay tuned for updates. In the meantime, check out the tour schedule below and make sure to give Spencer Brown a spin or two on his Soundcloud.
