After three years of collaboration and partnership on the Dirtybird Campout Music Festival, Dirtybird Records and The Do LaB have decided to part ways. They officially announced the split yesterday and fans, as well as fellow industry cohorts, are left wondering what the future holds for the event. After previously changing locations and adding a stage to last years festival, more change is to come for 2018- the location is still unknown and they’re now no longer with The Do LaB.

However, the root of the split is due to the growth of both companies since the festival’s inception in 2015. Dirtybird is overflowing with potential and wants to see it through by producing the festival completely on their own from this point forward. Do LaB’s CoFounder and President, Jesse Flemming stated:

“CREATING THE WILD AND ONE-OF-A-KIND DIRTYBIRD CAMPOUT HAS BEEN ONE OF THE MOST REWARDING EXPERIENCES WE’VE HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO TAKE PART IN AND WE’RE VERY PROUD OF THE UNIQUE EVENT WE WERE ABLE TO BUILD TOGETHER. THE DIRTYBIRD COMMUNITY WELCOMED US WITH OPEN ARMS, SO HOSTING THEIR AMAZING FANS FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS HAS BEEN VERY SPECIAL.”

The Do LaB’s duties consisted of stage design, event staffing, marketing & promotions, and more. Although a lot of it was collaborative between the two companies, the entirety of those reigns is now in the hands of Dirtybird and will be taken over by their team. The Do LaB will always be apart of the Campout foundation, but it’s safe to say that DB has got it from here. Stay tuned.
