In April of 2018, Marshmello announced he “would be going back to his roots with an OG Melllo EP.” Marshmello took to Twitter thanking his fans for allowing him to make music across all genres, and that he has so much material coming out these next couple of months. He closed out the tweet stating that it would include “OG mello EP for my day ones!!” Since then, Marshmello has released “You Can Cry” featuring Juicy J & James Arthur. He has also teased us with that “new new“, both of which are definitely worth checking out.
Recently Our favorite marshmallow hinted at a possible sequel to his ever famous Joytime LP. Joytime Pt. 1 was released in early 2016, and consisted of ten previously released Marshmello tracks that helped catapult him to headliner status. For those of you not familiar with Joytime, it included some of Marshmello’s earliest hits such as “Summer”, “Find me”, “Show You”, and “Want U 2.” The knockout production from this LP has to be his hip-hop collaboration with Omar Linx titled “Keep it Mello,” showcasing early on the quality of work that Marshmello was capable of.
While its not 100% certain that our “OG Mello EP” will be the upcoming Joytime Pt. 2, there is a pretty good chance we wont have to wait much longer to find out. Below you can find the rather cryptic tweet our fluffy friend left behind.
