The trance super group known as FATUM are back with another progressive banger. Their new track is called ‘Petra’ and sees its release on Armada Music sub-label Armind. The group recently lost one of their band members, Bill Hamel, after he tragically passed away about a month ago. This is the group’s first release since Bill Hamel’s passing. It’s unclear how the group dynamic will change, but it looks as though FATUM are still producing floor rocking tracks.
FATUM’s new monster ‘Petra’ exudes energy from the start. Using uplifting melodies, FATUM engineered a track that is both melodic and heavy. The synths in the backdrop sound raunchy and artificial, and as the track builds up, you get a feeling that something huge is coming. The drop comes in dark and heavy, getting the listener to move their feet instantly. As the track breaks down, the uplifting melodies come back in only to build right back up into the second drop. This time the drop is faster paced with the same dark synths as the first. ‘Petra’ should go down nicely at their live shows.
