Zedd has accomplished a bunch of things throughout his career. However, his latest accomplishment comes in the form of breaking a record previously held by The Chainsmokers and the late Avicii.

Zedd‘s collaboration track with Grey, and Maren Morris “The Middle” now holds the record for most weeks at number #1 on the Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic charts. “The Middle” has held the position for what is now going to be 28 weeks straight. The Chainsmokers’ “Closer” held it for 27 weeks straight and Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” held it for 26 weeks straight. This is sure to be an accomplishment Zedd can be proud of.

“The Middle” is also leading in the Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs category for its 27th week with a whopping 10.3 million streams and counting. The track is also leading in Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales for the 25th week with 8,000 sold.

There have been two tracks that have held the record previously for 20+ weeks. The Chainsmokers collaboration with Coldplay, “Something Like This“, was number 1 for 25 weeks. This beat out Major Lazer‘s collaboration with DJ Snake featuring Lean On” which went 23 weeks strong.
