For the Anjuna Family, Christmas is only a few days away. Each year, Above & Beyond celebrate a milestone Group Therapy show in an epic location around the world. Last year, we saw them celebrate their 250th show at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State. This year, for their iconic 300th show, the trio will take Group Therapy to Hong Kong, China along with some of their most talented Anjuna producers. But before the festivities begin, Anjunabeats thought it would be fun to release some interesting Group Therapy facts from their 251st to 299th shows.

The Group Therapy stats highlighted six different categories from all their shows between 250 and 300. The categories are Top 15 Artist Plays, Top 15 Label Plays, “Push The Button” (PTB) Plays, PTB Label Plays, Flashback Artist Plays, and Flashback Label Plays. If you’re familiar with the show, each week they choose a “Push The Button” track- the track most liked from the previous week. They also do a flashback track of the week right before the guest mix. Let’s see who came up strong in the ABGT stats.

Leading the pack for top artist plays is none other than Above & Beyond with 46 palys. No surprise there. Coming in second is the young progressive star Spencer Brown with 40 plays. Oliver Smith, Genix, and Ilan Bluestone round out the top five, respectively.

As you can imagine, Anjunabeats was the top played label this past year. They had a whopping 275 plays since ABGT 250 while Anjuna sub label Anjunadeep came in second with 69 plays. Armin van Buuren’s Armada came in third, with ZEROTHREE and Statement! rounding out the top five.

The leader of PTB plays resembles the top artist winner. A&B comes in first with eight PTB plays. Gabriel & Dresden, Oliver Smith, and Spencer Brown each had four PTB spins of their own. Each of those three Anjuna mainstays had incredible years, much deserved on the fan favorites there. As for the PTB label plays, well there was really no competition. Anjunabeats came in strong there with 31 PTB plays with Seven LionsOphelia and Anjunadeep coming in second and third.

Finally, the flashback tunes, one of the clear highlights of the show, showed some Anjuna darlings. Coming in first once again are Above & Beyond with eight flashbacks while Andrew Bayer comes in second with four. Ilan Bluestone and ARTY each had three of their own. The top plays for labels were Anjunabeats (what else is new) with 27 plays. Sublabel Anjunadeep and 17 Steps came in second and third.

It’s always interesting to see these statistics. Usually they are a clear indicator as to what and who was so popular during the year. Spencer Brown’s rise to stardom can’t be overlooked here. Gabriel & Dresden returning to the forefront of trance is also a welcomed sight.

Coming up for Anjunabeats is the massive ABGT 300 show in Hong Kong, China. The show takes place this Saturday at the AsiaWorld-Expo featuring support from Andrew Bayer, Ben Bohmer, Grum, Ilan Bluestone, and Spencer Brown. For all info regarding the show, you can click here.
