Over the last couple of months, Anjunabeats posted various cryptic posts related to something called, “DEEP STATE”. Anjuna fans from far and wide went crazy trying to figure out what exactly this DEEP STATE project was. We even went a little crazy and came up with our own ideas of what we thought this might be. Well today, our questions finally got their answers. Progressive maestro Grum has confirmed that DEEP STATE is in fact an upcoming studio album.

Dating back to December of 2017 when Gabriel & Dresden released The Only Road, Anjunabeats has been a hot bed for artist albums. After G&D’s debut Anjuna album came Above & Beyond’s Common Ground, Ilan Bluestone’s Scars, Spencer Brown’s Illusion of Perfection, and most recently Andrew Bayer’s In My Last Life. It only seemed right that another Anjuna giant release an album before year’s end.
Along with the news of DEEP STATE, Grum released the first track off the album, ‘Never Have To Be Alone’. The track personifies exactly the style Grum has mastered over the years. The progressive sounds coupled with uplifting trance chords captures each listener. It’s not often Anjunabeats pulls a marketing campaign quite like the DEEP STATE one, but clearly it was done for good reason. This album has all the makings of something truly special.
Coming up for the Scottish producer is a highlighted spot at ABGT 300 next weekend in Hong Kong, China. No doubt his set will be filled with new music from the upcoming album. This is definitely an exciting time to be a Grum and Anjunabeats fan. Check out ‘Never Have To Be Alone’ below along with the link to pre-order DEEP STATE here.
