It seems like the closer we get to 2019, the more Swedish House Mafia teases their fans.
A couple of days ago, Steve Angello fuelled the hype by posting an Instagram story of what was believed to be a preview of a brand new SHM song. Now, it appears that the trio has done a social media cleanse by swapping out all of their profile pictures and cover photos with a fresh image of their logo.
This is not the first time the group has spurred speculation of a return through their social media. Back in December 2017, the group wiped their Twitter account clean. Steve Angello also decided to follow both Axwell and Ingrosso on Instagram around this time. Then, in September of this year, Steve Angello posted “Day One” to his Instagram story. After that, all three members changed their Instagram profile pictures to a blank white photo.
All of these subtle social media clues coupled with Axwell /\ Ingrosso hinting at a hiatus for their duo project and Steve Angello confirming a Tomorrowland performance, can only mean something big is coming. While nothing is substantive yet, the recent revamping of Swedish House Mafia’s socials could be another nod in the direction of a world tour.
