William Sami Étienne Grigahcine known professionally as DJ Snake made a bet on Twitter. The bet stated that if he was to win NJR Music Awards DJ of the year he would shave his head. Surprise, he was announced DJ of the year! Now, we will have to wait and see if he is a man of his word and follows through with the bet.

DJ Snake saw his nomination go against many other talented artists like Calvin Harris, David Guetta and Kygo. “NRJ” means “Nouvelle Radio des Jeunes,” new radio of teens. Actually, it’s a play on words among the pronunciation of the French letters NRJ. The French word “énergie.” This year’s installation of NRJ took place in Cannes, France and was the 20th edition.
