On Sunday, November 4, 2018, the highly anticipated MTV EMAs hit Bilbao, Spain. Hailee Steinfeld hosted the event, and shared the stage with artists such as Nicki Minaj, Muse, Panic! at the Disco, Jason Derulo, Bebe Rexha, Alessia Cara, Janet Jackson, and many more.
The show in its entirety was just over 2 hours in length and delivered captivating performances by some of the world’s best international artists. As always, the MTV EMAs unveiled the winners of some of the most well-recognized categories in the music industry.
Taking home the win for the Best Electonic category was Marshmello. Other nominees for this category included Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, and The Chainsmokers.
Although there were several noteworthy performances throughout the night such as Nicki Minaj and Little Mix – ‘Good Form‘ and ‘Woman Like Me‘, Halsey – ‘Without Me‘, Janet Jackson – ‘Made for Now‘, ‘All for You’ and ‘Rhythm Nation‘, Marshmello truly stole the show.
Anne-Marie‘s stunning vocals featured in ‘Friends‘ and Bastille‘s collaboration with the triumphant producer for the EDM anthem ‘Happier‘ was simply perfect.
