NGHTMRE has had a pretty incredible 2018. Earlier this year, he and SLANDER announced Gud Vibrations Record Label. He has also had a massive amount of hits this year from hard-hitting ‘Save Yourself’ to more groovy ‘Like That.’ His Before Xmas Tour was one not to miss. It featured support from SWAGE, Ducky, and Midnight Tyrannosaurus. All three of them bringing the heat before NGHTMRE took the stage.
The Venue
NGHTMRE (Tyler Marenyi) fit perfectly into the culture provided by Terminal 5. The venue breeds of off dance music culture. It features a big open bottom floor with space for mosh pits (when necessary). The best part is it has two more floors with balconies that overlook the whole venue. If you need a break from the music, simply walk up and catch the rest of the show in a more calm environment. And if you are looking for the shortest bathroom lines, I would recommend the 3rd floor. The rave attendees were extremely friendly. Everyone cared for one another and when free water was provided at the front of the stage no one hesitated to give it to someone in need.
Support
Ducky had the best set out of the opening acts. She threw down some big bangers that got the crowd rowdy. But, at the same time played more melodic tunes like ‘Love You Just The Same.’Â Midnight Tyrannosaurus brought some intense music to the show. He played some thrillers like ‘Jurassic’ and ‘Brain Sludge.’
NGHTMRE
Everyone told me he was going to be good and he was even better. I have been a fan of his since his remix of ‘Limelight.’ Quite possibly the best track he has produced. Tyler played classics like ‘Feel Your Love‘ and ‘Gud Vibrations.’ He had stellar IDs that got the place rocking. He provided us with a nightmare we actually wanted to be in. NGHTMRE closed the night in spectacular fashion. With it being an Xmas show he casually walked off the stage after his “last track.” The crowd chanted “one more song” and he hit us with Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” Confetti fell from the sky and it felt more of like a dream than a nightmare
He has a few more shows left on his tour and you gotta check him out. See if he is playing near you here!
